The Aquainnova project is conceived to operate functionally, using the expertise and experience of the members of the EATIP and its secretariat. Given that EATIP membership is restricted to legal entities having a professional interest in the European aquaculture value chain, EATIP functions as a consortium that is bound by statutory conditions, internal by-laws (rules of operation) and a Code of Ethics.
Each of the founder members (see list below) is a leader in its area of professional activity; strong additional adhesion is anticipated in February 2009, following the 3rd Stakeholders Meeting of the EATIP.
The key individuals who will contribute to the project have been identified in the Project Management section but the strength of EATIP is derived from privileged access to both individuals and resources of renowned companies, organisations, institutes and universities, CSOs and NGOs – all of whom are committed to the sustainable development of aquaculture.
